Feeling Sentimental

The crisp spring air at 12:23am. Aaahhh... The scent of the air reminds me of my ex from 1997. Idk what it is. It's nature's scent mixed with a lil bit of floral and misc. I'm smoking outside and thought I'd write a mini blog post.

Do you believe in soulmates?
Do you believe that there's only ONE soulmate for each person?
How many times can a person fall in love?

I'm not in love with my ex from back then. But I do think about him from time to time and wonder how he's doing. I hope he is doing well, business and family-wise. I don't know if he got married or what he's doing now. But why is it that I think of a few of my exes from time to time and wonder about them? I sometimes want to see them, catch up, and then lose touch again.

I never keep in touch with my exes. I don't believe I can be friends with whom I really liked or loved. I think it's torture to keep in touch with your ex, even if the relationship ended on good terms. But can a relationship REALLY end on good terms?
Do you keep in touch with your ex(es)?!
Has it ever became complicating because of old feelings?
Do you believe you can be friends with your ex?

Seeing Sugar?!

I just came back from the library because the books we borrowed were due today. I returned 4 out of 5 and re-checked out the book "Seeing Sugar" by Cynthia L. Brinson. Why?! Because my princess wanted to finish that book.

Here's a summary of what it's about:
Kate loves sweets and school, including her fourth-grade teacher, her desk at the front of the class, and the fact that she's always the first to answer Miss Burke's questions. Then Sugar Rose Simms arrives at Maplewood School, and Miss Burke asks Kate to move so that the new girl can have her seat. From that moment on, Kate is off anything sweet and she no longer wants to participate in the class discussions because she can't see the blackboard. The teacher tells her mom about her nearsightedness and they visit the optometrist. Now she blames Sugar for her glasses, as well. However, through them, Kate sees the leaves in her favorite tree, not just a haze of green, and the birds living in the branches. She is so excited that she takes photos of everything and shares them in school the next day. She takes a class picture and notices something else: Sugar is a shy, lonely girl-not the thief who stole her desk. The message is a little heavy-handed, but early chapter-book readers will relate to Kate's hurt feelings and frustration. Youngsters will be reassured that they are not alone in the unjust world of elementary school.

Then I borrowed 2 other books for her to read, if she wants or if she hasn't already. She loves reading. Well, I was bored and had all the time in the world so I browsed through almost all the aisles of books while I was there. I skimmed through books regarding paralegal studies, careers in law, careers in law enforcement, arts & crafts, cooking, drawing, fashion, etc. After walking around so much, I got tired. I was wearing my heels! Well, I didn't borrow any books for myself. Maybe next time. Oh! I also skimmed through a book about California Small Claims. Yeah, I would need to help someone with either small claims or something in the near future. No details though!

But with my experience in small claims while working and also personally filing it myself, I think I know what to do and which forms to file where. Yup! I'm 99% confident that I know.

Well, I get to see my little princess tomorrow! I'm still thinking about whether or not I should go to the Festival of Books at UCLA this weekend. Preferably Saturday. I don't want to stress about transportation or parking. Then there's all that walking around and I also don't have money to spare. We'll probably end up baking another cake this weekend. I'll also remind her to make that "thank you" card to her aunt TamTam. I'm starving now! Ta-Ta For Now! TTFN!

Too Cute!!! Celebrate Earth Day~~~

Appearance

On 4/15/2010, I went for an interview at a cosmetic store for a position as a sales associate. I was surprised to hear that I can't wear glasses. I do understand why they would prefer their sales associates not to wear glasses but I can't understand why it's a requirement that I do NOT wear glasses. I also sort of understand why restaurants dislike for their waitresses or waiters to wear glasses, especially if it's a Korean BBQ place but I don't see why that's a requirement.

Well, I've checked online and I see that the cosmetic store is still hiring so I'm assuming that I didn't get the job. They are still posting an ad daily since the day I went to the interview. Oh well... I guess I don't need to rush to get contact lenses. Anyway, I can't afford to get contact lenses or new glasses. The last time I went to get my glasses was in March 2007 so I'm waaayyyy overdue for my eye exam. I feel like I'm going blind!

I Need A Break Away From Here

I wished I could've joined my sis on her trip to San Diego. I really need a break from all the drama and BS. When I'm working, I never have the time to go on a vacation. Not even a mini-vacation! But when I have the time, I don't have the money. Boohoo!

Designer Eugenia Kim Brings High Fashion to Target

Designer Eugenia Kim Brings High Fashion to Target

"Everyone can wear a hat -- you just have to find the right one," says Kim, 35. Her high-end Eugenia Kim hats average $200! So I'm happy to hear that they're available at Target. But when I checked online on Target.com, I saw that the designs weren't too pretty but I guess that's why it's so cheap.

This Is Me

Love this song. I know, it's a song from "The Barbie Diaries" DVD movie. But try listening to the lyrics. I can totally relate to it. Constantly falling forward.

Everyone has got a secret side

A winding path up to a door that's open wide

You think you know me but I'm changin' all the time

'Cause if I wanna be sweet

If I wanna be wild

If I wanna cry like a child

If I pick up the world in the palm of my hand
I guess that's just who I am

Chorus:

This is me
Can't ignore it
Reaching out
Breaking free
Constantly
Falling forward
Yeah, I'm just goin' for it
This is me

Sometimes life is a confusing thing
And when I talk it seems like no one's listening
Try to be an angel, but I just can't find my wings

'Cause I wanna be sweet
But I wanna be wild
If I wanna find my own style
So, I make a mistake, then I do it again
But I do it the best way that I can

*Chorus*

More than what you see

Finding out who I can be

*Chorus*

This is me...

Extinction...

This is extinction for you.
You're the kind of person,
You think you're better than everyone.

I don't want anything from you.

I don't want anything from you.
This is extinction for you.

Exactly what I want to say to you. But I can't... because no matter what, we're family. Again, I am not going to go into details on who I'm saying this to. But for some people, they know who I'm talking about. If you're the majority that doesn't know wth I'm talking about, I'm sorry but I can't fill you in. Too personal.

When asked by someone or some website or for some profile about the type of music I liked, I would write something like "Music is my life", "I love most types of music" or "almost everything but depends on my mood". Well, I now know that I need to change that. I didn't know there were so many types of music AND also so many types that I dislike or hate. I hate heavy metal that is just like loud noise. But I do love rock and alternative. But I don't like some alternative rock that sounds like they were made in the funky 80s. LOL! I do not like "The Soft Pack". I have listened to this song and another one called "Pull Out". 25 seconds into the song, I desparately wanted to turn it off. But I tried skipping forward, hoping it'll get better. I apologize to all the TSP fans but I do not like their songs.

Cynthia Vincent line for Target

COMING: The Cynthia Vincent line for Target includes gladiator wedges in yellow, left, $29.99; and African-print-inspired wedges, $29.99.

All the shoes in the Cynthia Vincent for Target collection are priced under $30.
The unfortunate thing is... I saw this article and found out about this collection but when I searched on Target's website today, the yellow gladiator wedge has been sold out already. Not that I wanted YELLOW wedges...
