THINK BLUE
Although I've been living in Los Angeles all of my life, I've never been to a Dodger game. I've never been to a baseball game in my life. Upon finding out this truth, my lovely friend thought we should go. He bought tickets for a good deal. We had Dodger dogs and garlic fries. Some friends got beer. I didn't drink. Even if the Dodgers lost that day, I still enjoyed the game and had loads of fun with my friends. My seat was at section 166LG, Row O, seat 2. The LA Dodgers vs Philadelphia Phillies at 7:10pm at the Dodgers Stadium.

God Has a Plan B for Drying Our Tears
"Without the rain, there would be no rainbow."
G.K. Chesterton
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; gthere shall be no more death, hnor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” -Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)
Think about that for a moment: The same hands that stretched out the heavens, scattered the stars across the sky, and formed mountains will someday gently touch your cheeks and brush your tears away forever. And when those final tears disappear, so will the fear, dispair, and pain that accompanied them.

Boycott 'The Last Airbender' Film
I was on my FB and I've been noticing that I got an event invite titled "Boycott 'The Last Airbender' Film". I read the description today while eating lunch.
WHY BOYCOTT?
'The Last Airbender' cast white actors to portray Asian/Inuit heroes, the latest example of Caucasians playing Asians (e.g., '21', 'Dragonball Evolution', 'Kung Fu', and more).
This is true. I've never actually seen those movies but I've heard about it. But it's not only Asians. I heard that the role of "Fox" in the movie "Wanted" was actually an African-American woman. I've also heard that the true story of "21" were made by mostly Asians. 4 out of 5 were Asians but in the movie, 1 out of 5 was Asian. Click here to see the comparison.
I was about to see "The Last Airbender" last Monday but I postponed it because I didn't want to wait in line. Then this last weekend, I was going to watch it by myself. But I didn't. I've heard only bad reviews from friends, who heard them from their friends. None of my friends are going to watch it because of the bad reviews and also, they just think it's weird that the main character, Aang is a white boy.
Look at this picture.

Cried While Watching 'Toy Story 3'
I went and watched "Toy Story 3" in 3D at CGV Cinemas with my daughter. We cried!!! LOL! Well, after the movie, we shared this pretty cookie sandwich at Cine Cafe.
I got myself a white chocolate mocha but I've had better. To me, the cookie sandwich is pretty but not that good. The cookie should have been soft. They bake the cookies fresh everyday but it was hard as a Chips A'Hoy cookie. Cine Cafe is located inside, next to CGV Cinemas.

I looked you straight in the eyes and nothing really mattered...
Or did it?
The title of this blog comes from a different blog of a different blogger. The post has nothing to do with the title. It doesn't relate to each other. But when I see these kinds of title, I start wondering... Do I ever matter to anyone? Does anyone think about me? Does anyone even miss me? What if I disappeared from the face of this earth... would you know?
The sad thing is... I think this person would be capable of looking straight into my eyes and tell me that nothing really matters anymore. I don't know this person anymore nor does this person know me. Forgive me, but I am feeling melancholy today. I've been feeling like this since yesterday. I'm in LA but it's sprinkling. Why?! It's summer and this is LA! I don't feel like working today. I just want to hang out at a coffeeshop and drink coffee while chatting with friends or enjoying a good book.
And I looked and looked at her and knew clearly as I know I am to die, that I loved her more than anything I had ever seen or imagined on earth, or hoped for anywhere else. (Lolita, Book 2, Ch. 29, P. 67)
This quote comes from the novel, Lolita. I don't know about this novel or the movie. But I've seen this quote on some random person's FB. It also stated somewhere about this Lolita being big with someone else's baby when this guy is saying or thinking this. Again, I don't know the story because I've never read the book or watched the movie. But if you look at the quote above alone, that's such a sweet thing! But then again, does this type of love exist in real life? If so, why can't I find it? I have loved but I don't think I've ever been really loved. I'm not trying to get people to pity me or anything. I just think that it's sad that I can love someone so much but I can never get that in return. Am I cursed or something by being born on Valentine's Day? *sigh* I should get back to work now.
I am drinking a double caffe mocha from Essence Coffee right now. On Saturday, I had a tall iced white mocha (extra shot, no whip) and a venti iced white mocha (extra shot, no whip) from Starbux. On Sunday, I had coffee from McD's. Yesterday, I had a venti iced white mocha (extra shot, no whip).
Anyway, how was everyone's weekend?
Now, back to work! I had Monday (yesterday) off so I feel like it's going to be a long day today but I know that this week will fly by quickly! Have a nice week, everyone!

What did you do on the 4th of July?
Did you watch fireworks or did you buy it and DIY?
Did you have a BBQ party?

Happy 4th of July
Happy 4th of July, everyone!
some place in Chinatown, Los Angeles
If you look closely, they have little cup-shaped stones or bowls. Each has a writing on it (i.e. WEALTH, LOTTO, HAPPINESS, LONG LIFE). Well, none of my pennies landed on any one of those. They all went into the water.
My friends and I had a BBQ party at the apartment. After everyone was done eating, we went to the front of the apartment and sparked up some illegal fireworks a friend has bought from somewhere in DTLA.

Feeling sick...
This is my lunch for today. I am feeling extremely sick. That's a regular size Outrageous Raspberry smoothie from Robeks and a small bag of Stacy's Parmesan Garlic & Herb pita chips. The chips are good and healthy. I didn't drink coffee today. That's how sick I am. A coffeeholic who refuses to drink coffee is really sick. Just one more day and I'll try to get some rest over the weekend.

Cafe Mocha at Cafe Haus
So disappointed after Lakers lost to Celtics in tonight's game (89-96). Went out to eat dinner at Byul Dae Po and then went to Cafe Haus for coffee. I had to take a picture of my cafe mocha. The cafe latte came out with a different design but I didn't take a picture of that. It was delicious.
Today's coffee intake:
- 1 double caffe mocha from Espresso Coffee in the morning
- 1 double caffe mocha from Espresso Coffee after lunch

Looong Day
Main entrance of Los Angeles High School
inside Los Angeles High School
golf range at Griffith Park
It's been about 14 years or so since I've last been at LA High. It brought back old memories. Walking down the almost empty halls... it felt weird because last time I've been there, the hall was so packed all the time. I went there at 6pm so there weren't many students there. I saw maybe 10 at the most.
After I went home from LA High, we grabbed a quick bite and headed out to the golf range at Griffith Park. I don't know how to golf but I'm thinking about taking lessons. I want to learn but it's an expensive sport to get into. The clubs, shoes, bags, accessories, etc. They are soooo expensive! I saw the head cover costs $55! I know there are some that are cheaper but I'm talking about the cute ones! Supposedly, that one is a 'name brand'. I don't know. Too tired. Good night!
Cali Grill from Nordstrom's Cafe
OMG!!! This was sooo delicious! It's potato chips with the California Grill from Nordstrom's Cafe. The bread was off the wall delicious because it had a really thin cheese crust grilled on top or something. Then there's the greasy bacon and avocado. I love avocado!!! It was good. But I think I'm suffering from heartburn now... LOL! I would love to go back and get another though!
I got off work at 11am so I can take my sister to LAX. I picked her up from West LA and went to the Westfield mall there. We went to H&M and then headed to the Nordstrom's Cafe.
Have you tried eating at Nordstrom's Cafe?
If yes, what would you recommend?

Happiest Place on Earth
Just came back home from the happiest place on earth! I'm so tired. But I'm so happy. I went with my princess and my sister. We had fun. Next time, my daughter said she'll try going on the Splash Mountain with my sister. If you know me, you know that I won't go on anything like that. Well, if my daughter grows up to like roller coasters, then my sister will have someone to go on them with. Now I have to find someone to wait with me at the exit of the ride. LOL!

Warm, Fuzzy Feeling
Jenny's friend bought her this "Make Lemonade" bouquet. Because life handed poor Jenny 'Frank Lemon'. Sending that warm, fuzzy feeling. I love this commercial! ^^* Maybe when I'm feeling down, I should order this myself.

Back to Reality...
Hey! How was everyone's 3-day weekend?! Seems like everyone was in Vegas.
It does to me (unfortunately). There was so much work that I had left unfinished on Friday so I'm going crazy busy here today. I just have to get through today and tomorrow. Thursday = Lakers vs Celtics game. Friday = TGIF!!!
I just found out that this past weekend, my lil sis was at the Grove in LA. It's so weird because I dreamt about my 2 sis and my mom this weekend. Also, I had this sudden urge of wanting to go to the Grove. I didn't get paid last Friday so there was no point of me going shopping. I was broke.
In my dream, we were all in a car driven by a young guy who claimed to be our brother. Weird, we don't have a brother. Well, we dropped off our older sister at this auditorium because she had this teachers conference thing to attend. My mom was praising my younger sister of how smart she was and I was sitting in the backseat. I was clenching my chest because my heart hurt so much. In my dream, I was already in school studying law. I had gotten good grades too. But nothing that I did impressed my mom and I was blind to her. My lil sis glanced at me and saw that I was hurting. When I woke up, I felt really weird. My heart was in pain. I am a person who believes that a human can die from a broken heart. I have experienced times when my heart won't beat correctly when I am really sad and suffering from a broken heart. I wonder what this dream means.
I am planning to attend a city college starting this fall semester. I have already registered online and now I need to make an appointment for the orientation and the assessment placement test. I already got my student ID number via email. This time, I am serious about this. No more excuses or procrastinating. My first goal is to obtain an AA degree via the paralegal program they have. I will decide whether or not I want to further my education to obtain a bachelor's or a master's after I have obtained the AA.
Well, I should be getting back to work! I had 2 cups of double caffe mocha from Essence Coffee today. For lunch, I had a croissant. I'm starving!!! Gotta go! Have a wonderful short week, everyone!!!

Busy busy busy...
Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile
So busy... I can't wait for the 3-day weekend to come. Although I don't think I'm getting paid tomorrow nor do I have money right now. I am so broke! Vegas trip has been officially cancelled. I'm happy it has been cancelled. But still... It's a 3-day weekend and I don't have money or anything to do over the weekend. I should've gotten a rental car or something.
I had a caramel latte in the morning and after lunch, I had my usual double caffe mocha. The barista at the coffee shop gave me a medium caramel latte as a complimentary saying "rainy day special". How generous! Well, I finished a few settlement demand letters. Now I have to work on another one and do major follow-up on all these files. I hate it when the adjusters don't return my phone calls! I need to type up a letter to send out with the release and the Medicare form so we can get the settlement check for the client. Then I have to type up another settlement demand letter. I've been working on the demand letter but it's taking me longer than I thought because these medical reports are so confusing and some are not even legible! I dislike doctor's handwriting. Well, I'm probably staying an hour over-time and then heading off to a car dealer so I can notarize an acknowledgment. I'm exhausted but I feel good. I'm busy with work and after my regular job as a legal assistant, I can make side money by notarizing!
Tomorrow is finally Friday! Yay! Now, back to work for me! Have a nice 3-day weekend!!!

Is anyone going to Vegas?!
Did you know that Memorial Day was formerly known as "Decoration Day"?

JeA -Mia 迷兒
제아 "미아"
JeA -"Mia"
This song is an OST from the K-drama "Chuno (추노)". It is titled "미아" which means (迷兒) - a stray[lost, missing] child. It's not literally about a missing child. It's more like metaphorically her heart feels like a lost child and doesn't know where her heart should stray or go. Enjoy the Korean lyrics with the English translations I did!
사랑 ..사랑 .. 사랑..
Love... love... love...
사랑해서 아픈 사랑
Love that hurts because I love
시린 가슴안고 눈물 한잔 비워본다
I hold onto my achy heart and empty my tears
길 잃고 헤매이는 아이처럼 내마음 갈 곳 없어
Like a lost child searching their way, my heart has nowhere to go
곁에만 있어도 행복할텐대
I would be happy just to be beside you
그대는 자꾸만 멀어지나요
You keep drifting further away
나 이젠 어떤 꿈을 안고 사나요
What dream do I live with now?
여울저만가는 해 저녁 끝에 그대의 슬픔이 보여요
At the shallow end of the evening, I see your sadness
어디로 갈까요... 길을 잃어버린 나의 마음을...
Where to go... my heart has lost its path...
아파 ..아파..아파..
It hurts... it hurts... it hurts...
내사랑이 너무 아파
My love hurts so much
Like a fool, I keep looking back even when I try to avoid
한참을 소리내어 울어봐도 그대는 듣지못해
Even when I cry out loud for a long time, you can't hear
곁에만 있어도 행복할텐대
I would be happy just to be beside you
그대는 자꾸만 멀어지나요
You keep drifting further away
What dream do I live with now?
여울저만가는 해 저녁 끝에
At the shallow end of the evening, 그대의 슬픔이 보여요
I see your sadness
Where to go... my heart has lost its path...
Knock, knock! Who's There? Depression...
I don't know. These days, I've been feeling very sad deep down inside. But I haven't been paying attention to that because I've been busy with work and tired after work. Then there's the NBA Play-Offs. But in the morning, when I'm at work, I have the music on. I usually try to select the slow songs to listen to. Maybe it's because I just got an email recently from a guy I used to like a lot. I knew that "we" would never happen. His parents are rich people in Korea and so he was not allowed to fall in love. He did but he was hurt since they wouldn't approve of anybody except one girl they had in mind. Just found out that he's busy and doing well. He did mention that he did get married as soon as he got to Korea. He's never coming back. It seemed to me that he really liked me too. But he did say that he will not let himself fall in love again. It'll just hurt everyone. I can't help but feel sorry for him. What kind of world or century does he live in that he has to be in an arranged marriage?! Surprisingly, I know a few people who are in an arranged marriage.
I know we're entitled to our own views and opinions about arranged marriages. Of course there are pros and cons. But same goes for marriages resulting from love. It's stated that the divorce rate for arranged marriages are lower. I think that's just because the people that can be forced into an arranged marriage can endure more and just live their life as it was given to them. But then there will be those few who don't want to disappoint their parents or family so they just live as if they are dead.
There are a lot of things going on my mind. I don't stop to think about it. I work all day and try to get myself so tired after work that I pass out. Then I get sick (physically). But right now, I think I am mentally ill. Things are so sad. When I look at my life and/or my past, it's sad. I keep holding onto dear hope but when will the day come?!

Little Tokyo
I went to Orochon Ramen for dinner with my friends. I can't say anything about their ramen because I only try a little bit of my friend's but never order my own. I just get the meat & veggie stir-fry. The rice that came with the stir-fry was dry and seemed old. So I tried the fried rice my friend got. That was too salty or too bland throughout. It wasn't mixed well. This place got more popular because it was on the Travel Channel's "Man vs Food" show. They have this really spicy ramen, the SPECIAL 2!!! You should try the regular 2 or 3 before you think about getting the special 1 or 2.
After dinner, we went to Starbucks on 2nd and Alameda Ave. We kicked it there for a while, drinking coffee, talking, and people-watching. LOL! It was fun. But we were all tired.
Today, I had 2 double caffe mocha from Essence Coffee and 1 tall white mocha from Starbucks. Wow... I'm still sleepy. Good night!

Far Safer to be Feared than Loved
"Men judge generally more by the eye than by the hand, for everyone can see and few can feel. Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are." ..... " Since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved." - Niccolo Machiavelli

Sweet Tea Cup
OMG! So cute!!! I want this! I thought this was a mug with a lid but it turns out that it's an upside-down tea cup! They have so many cute stuff on their site.
You can buy it on ModCloth.
Hold the sugar, this mug is sweet as is! Enjoy an upside down 'cup-cake' of tea, coffee, or your favorite beverage of choice in this adorable mug, which doubles as decor when not in use. With a painted polka dot print, citrus slices to set it down with care, and a handle for help with hot drinks, save spending your 'star-bucks' for another day, and take some time to fill up this sweet ceramic cup instead!

Love Knows No Limit
Do you remember watching this video clip? Christian the Lion's reunion?! I remember. I remember shedding a tear while watching them reunite. But why is it so hard for us to find true love and true friendship? It seems like it's a mission impossible.
Monday after a CrAzY wEeKeNd
I took my daughter to the dentist on Saturday morning. omg... It took more than an hour to do an extraction. Why? Because it was her first time at the dentist and she kept crying that it hurt. But the dentist said that she didn't know the difference between pressure and pain. Idk... Well, her dad missed her after hearing about how much she cried so he picked her up early. Around 6pm on Saturday.
Coffee Intake on Saturday = I had an iced mocha from Paris Baquette and a regular sized iced white chocolate latte from Coffee Bean.
Well, on Saturday, my friends and I went to Yeo Woo Bi on Wilshire & Alexandria. It was a crazy night. The bill came out to $400 ($60 tip included), even when they took out the appetizers out of the bill! After that, they all came over to sober up at my friend's place. They stayed till 3-4am.
Sunday... I was so tired. My tonsillitis came back and I am in pain. Well, we had galbi-tang from Seoul Gomtang. For lunch, we had burgers from Umami Burgers. OMG! It was $10 per burger! Oh wow... We watched the NBA Play-offs. After that, we went to the swapmeet before we went to the Alley in DTLA. We went to the tattoo shop in Silverlake to get one of my tattoos but they were packed on appointments. So we went home. We had Chinese food from Chinatown Express. Then we went to Burbank AMC to watch "Iron Man 2" in IMAX. When we came home, it was almost midnight and I was exhausted!
About "Iron Man 2"... I only heard bad things about the movie so I wasn't really looking forward to watching it. I also heard that Iron Man only comes out only about 3 times during the entire 2hr 4min movie. Well, I think that is correct. I think Iron Man only comes out 3 times. But I still liked it! I'm glad I saw it.

Well, the Lakers are playing today against the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix, AZ. Game starts at 6pm PST. I'm so tired! I'm having hot flashes and dizzy spells! No, they're not hot flashes. I just have fevers on and off. Well, I drank 2 cups of double caffe mocha from Essence Coffee today.

Working Hard
Pic of me multi-tasking. I'm on the phone with a client and I'm typing a settlement demand letter while I'm talking on the phone. TGIF! Yay!
Coffee Loving Umbrella?!
Try carrying your tall café latté in the rains! One hand full of your stuff, the other has an umbrella….get the drift? The solution is to get a functional Umbrella, like the one designed by Jung-Woo Lee. A convenient coffee-cup rim integrated into the handle solves the issue. I say cheers to more coffee and bring on the rains! (taken from Yanko Design)
Designer: Jung-Woo Lee for Ek Design
Really?! Are you kidding me? Oh wow... It retails at $54 at the YD Store. But would you get it? I wouldn't. I would just get a stopper and enjoy my coffee or whatever in my office or home. Why would I want to buy an umbrella that costs $54 just so that rain won't pour on the lid of my coffee cup?! Hmm... I see that EK Design is in Korea. Now I'm thinking that if you do live in a city or country that rains a lot, then this product will be appealing to the consumers.
Would you buy this Coffee Loving Umbrella?
Why or why not?
Why or why not?

work... work... work........
Here's a photo of my desk. Oh wow... You see that?! You see the Red Bull with the red straw and a cup of double mocha?! Yup! That's what I need today. Caffeine!!! I'm so tired and sleepy. Thank goodness my friends postponed watching "Iron Man 2" to another day. We're just going to eat dinner at Seoul Garden in Ktown LA. Yay! Yummy!!! Now, back to work!
You Know You Looking at a Winner~ Cuz I'm A Winner
I am one of the 2 lucky winners to win Tina Tang's hammered necklace!!! I think I'm the 2nd winner since my comment was posted second. So, I guess my prize would be Tina Tang’s “Crescent” necklace, which retails for $165. Now I'm thinking whether I should do a free giveaway of this necklace on this blog. Hmm... I guess I'll decide when I see the necklace. I need to know whether I will want to keep it or not when I see the necklace! Yay! I feel happy that I won! I've been entering in almost all their TGIFFs. Finally!!!

I Am A Happy Mother On Mother's Day
Here is the Mother's Day card from by daughter, which brings me to tears. I am so lucky to have such an angel-like daughter like her. I love you!!!
Front of Card
Back of Card
Inside of card...
"I AM" I am smart and kind
I wonder if you are hurt when I'm at school
I hear you saying "Are you okay?" When I'm hurt
I see the kindness in your heart
I want you to stay alive forever and ever
I am smart and kind
I pretend you are my hero
I feel your love when you give me hugs and kisses
I touch your hand when I cross the street and I feel safe
I worry if you are in danger
I cry when I miss you
I am smart and kind
I understand when you sleep early because you're tired
I say "I love you" to you
I dream that I am in the clouds when I see you
I try to make you laugh when you're sad
I hope I see you in the cloudy heavenly sky
I am smart and kind
"YOU ARE"
You are the number one mom
You wonder how to make me happy
You hear my voice when you miss me
You see your gorgeous self in the mirror
You want the best for me
You are the number one mom
You pretend to be special but you'll always be special to me
You feel very smooth
You touch my cheeks and say I'm soft
You worry about me because you are kind
You cry when you have a difficult problem
You are loving and sweet
You understand me and my problems
You say kind things that make me smile
You dream of having a house and being rich
You try to teach me to be confident
You hope to raise me to be a courageous woman
You are the number one mom

Dear Mom
Just like Tiffany says in this video... It's been a long time since I've seen my mom. When I found out about this song, I wanted for her to hear it so badly. Lucky for Tiffany because she gets to sing this for her mom. This song brings me to tears. It's Mother's Day today. But I won't let the sadness ruin my day. I have my princess and she's trying her best to give me the best Mother's Day possible. Thank you, my lovely princess. I did have the best Mother's Day today! I love the card and the pen you made for me. I will try to be the best mom for you.

Something Outrageous and Blue
I just came back from a wedding. It was my co-worker's wedding. It was held at a hotel in Ktown LA. The dress was so pretty! If you want my honest opinion of the entire wedding experience, it would not sound pretty. But I wasn't there as a critic so I won't say anything. I was there to congratulate them.
After the wedding, I thought I would post something about weddings! The bride didn't do the "something old, something new, something blue" thingy.
Leave it to Betty Beauty to make a gal blush. The bridal kit ($15) comes with aqua dye and stencils (heart, xo) to coif your lady place for the big day.
Make your commitment short-term. Not your marriage, silly, your I Do Tattoo ($36). Temporary markings range from doves to Cupid to hearts.
You’re jumping in feet first, so you may as well make your shoes look good. Paint the bottoms of your favorite pair a shade of blue ($10).

4.29... Where were you?
I just read about the 1992 Los Angeles riots on Wikipedia after reading an article titled "Where were you on 4.29?" posted on KoreAm. Just like the author wrote, I, too, was very afraid of being Korean and I never felt more Korean. Where was I on 4/29/1992? It was a Wednesday so I guess I would've been at school or at home doing homework. I remember being in class and my classmates were teasing other by calling each other "looters". I didn't think it was funny.
I was born and raised in LA. I never left LA and am still living here in LA. While attending elementary school, there were plenty of Koreans. But when I went to junior high, I was 1 out of 2 Asians in the entire school. But by 9th grade, there were several more Koreans at the school but it wouldn't even total 20. I would say, the Asians wouldn't have even been 50 total. The majority were Caucasians, hispanics, and African-Americans. I attended a magnet school. The non-magnet students were mostly hispanics and African-Americans. The magnet students were mostly Caucasians, later were Asians and Caucasians. I was afraid in the morning, while waiting for the school bus and in the afternoon, while walking home after getting off at the school bus stop.
All I remember is that it was f*cked up. The cops and whatevers let the riot happen and once they saw that they were going to spread into Hancock Park and Beverly Hills, they stopped it. Why didn't they do anything? Because the riots were mainly in Koreatown and Korean owned businesses. Sad thing is, most Koreans did not have insurance. They had come to America and were on their way of achieving their "American Dream" and it was burnt to ashes, just like their business. But when I was doing insurance, it was easier for me to sell them insurance because I remind them of the riots. It's not only riots but it seems like that story alone convinces them that they need proper and adequate insurance.
Where were YOU on 4/29/1992?
Were you afraid of being a Korean?
Were you afraid of being a Korean?
Arizona Immigration Law SB1070 2010
The recently passed Arizona Immigration bill has created quite a stir. On June 5, there will be a rally in support of SB1070, which makes it a crime to be present in the state of Arizona without the proper legal status. The law is not designed to be a “racist” law; however, many individuals – most of them from the immigrant community – think that it could open the door for racial profiling.
All that’s necessary to prove your legal status is a driver’s license or state issued photo ID. The police do not have to look over your visa paperwork or your passport to determine if you are legal or not. If you have successfully obtained a state ID or license, you have already proven your status.
In addition, police are prohibited from profiling someone solely because they “look” like an immigrant. Many people still think that this will occur. (taken from CNM News Network)

Is the US CODE UNCONSTITUTIONAL?
US CODE TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VIII > § 1325
§ 1325. Improper entry by alien
TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VIII > § 1324a
§ 1324a. Unlawful employment of aliens
WE DO NOT NEED IMMIGRATION REFORM. WE NEED IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT. ENFORCE THE LAW.
We should treat immigrants like Mexico does:
At present, Article 67 of Mexico’s Population Law says, “Authorities, whether federal, state or municipal … are required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country, before attending to any issues.”
That would simplify things.
Operation Wetback was a 1954 operation by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to remove about one million illegal immigrants from the southwestern United States, focusing on Mexican nationals.
Simple question: What happens if someone jumps the fence and wanders around a gated community without an ID and a resident of the community calls the cops saying someone that doesn’t look like they belong here is roaming the streets? The cops arrive. They would ask the wanderer a few questions. If wanderer does not have a valid reason for being inside the gated community, the cops would escort them out, wouldn’t they? Isn’t a country, like the USA, a “gated community”, too?
This is my short comment posted under the article.
I read only few of the comments posted here. I would say I have to agree with what TheRumpledOne and Josh Barrietnos posted. FYI: I am not a racist. I don’t think they understand. They have laws, procedures, and paperwork. If they thought it was unneccessary, why would it have been created? Also, ‘illegal immigrants’ who are employed illegally gets paid under the table, meaning cash. What about us? We have to pay our taxes! For what? For the illegals to benefit from that? Don’t tell me that illegals pay taxes when they buy something. I know they do but we all know what I’m talking about. The IRS!
I’m not only talking about Hispanics here. Why does it always have to be about Hispanics when we’re talking about illegals? What if you saw a boat full of Asians? Would you not think suspicious of that? We have to put a stop to illegal immigrants! I know people that’s in the same nationality group as I am but I still want them to be deported. If they want to come here, come here legally. Also, if they came on a visitor’s visa, remember to leave before your visa expires. Don’t stay here and talk shit about the US government & laws. Go back to where you came from.
How do you feel about Arizona Immigration Law SB1070 2010?
I just read the comment that was posted above mine.
OK, so now let’s figure out the total costs for getting a green card. It’s $4,000+, plus $1,000, plus $475, plus $1,010.
All in all, the BASE COST is $6,485 to get a green card (as I said this will likely be more due to separate costs and fees for processing same). Now you know.
TO EVERYONE SHOUTING “DO IT LEGALLY!” Has anybody bothered to see what the peso is to the American dollar? 1 Mexican peso = 0.076767 U.S. dollars…one peso is about 7 cents here…anybody know who much the average worker gets paid in Mexico?…It’s about $5,000/YR to American’s $30,000/YR. So we say, here’s the process and we put it outside of their reach…classic.
Again, why does it always have to be about Mexicans? In another comment I read, they were writing about how they should be trying to better their own country instead of trying to take over the US. An average worker gets paid $5000/yr in Mexico while I was disqualified from unemployment benefits. I paid my taxes every year. I'm not on welfare or collecting foodstamps or getting benefits from WIC or Medi-Cal or SS. WTF?! Then now the government is crying how they don't have money.
I just read on Wiki about AZ SB1070. I really don't have much interest in politics or SBs or HBs. I'm too busy trying to make ends meet and survive day-to-day. This Arizona SB 1070 is also known as the "Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act". Yes, it states clearly what it is. It's a Senate Bill made to support law enforcement and make our neighborhoods safe. What the people have to understand is that the law enforcement officers are not out there on the streets racial profiling everyone.
Read this:
The act makes it a state misdemeanor crime for an alien to be in Arizona without carrying registration documents required by federal law,[20] and obligates police to make an attempt, when practicable, to determine a person's immigration status if there is reasonable suspicion that the person is an illegal alien[21] during a police stop for some other offense.[22] Police may arrest a person if there is probable cause that the person is an alien not in possession of required registration documents;[20] a person arrested cannot be released without confirmation of the person's legal immigration status by the federal government pursuant to § 1373(c) of Title 8 of the United States Code.
Solution? Don't do anything suspicious! Not all illegals are criminals or bad people. But just because they have entered illegally, they are not welcomed. Would you welcome a stranger into your house if they sneaked into your house? No!
I strongly believe that all states should have this law, especially California.
Please don't take this blog post too personally. I don't know much about politics and hate politics. But I thought I'd post something about this since everyone's talking about it. Thank you!

A few of my friends and I believe that the only solution for all the problems is for the government to fall down and fail. Then they will try to build it right, starting from the right foundation and right people with the right minds.

I guess I can't complain about the amount of workload. Why?! Because I don't want to. At times, I do feel overwhelmed and stupid. But this is how I'm going to learn fast! Yay! Also, this means that they trust me with the work. I was told that I have an excellent skill in writing settlement demand letters and liability letters. Woohoo! Problem is, after writing these types of letters, the violation codes automatically gets memorized in my brain. Uh-oh! I don't have that much memory space in my CPU (aka "my brain"). LOL!
Well, it's finally Friday! Yay! I just hope I don't have any problems calling a cab after work. I walked home from work on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I called a different cab company and the driver was f*ckin' crazy. I got dropped off at Ralph's and I walked home because I didn't want to call them again after I was done grocery shopping. Yesterday, I left 10 minutes early so I didn't have any problems. Today, I'm getting off my regular time, which is 5:30pm. I hope I don't get any more BS.
It's 12:10pm and I don't know what I want to eat for lunch. I lost my appetite this morning because I finally went on the scale. I gained 9 pounds!!! OMFG... Everybody's talking about P90X. Should I give that a try?
Does everyone you know talk about P90X all the time?
Are you doing P90X?
If so, would you recommend others to do it? Why or why not?

Feeling Sentimental
The crisp spring air at 12:23am. Aaahhh... The scent of the air reminds me of my ex from 1997. Idk what it is. It's nature's scent mixed with a lil bit of floral and misc. I'm smoking outside and thought I'd write a mini blog post.
I'm not in love with my ex from back then. But I do think about him from time to time and wonder how he's doing. I hope he is doing well, business and family-wise. I don't know if he got married or what he's doing now. But why is it that I think of a few of my exes from time to time and wonder about them? I sometimes want to see them, catch up, and then lose touch again.
I never keep in touch with my exes. I don't believe I can be friends with whom I really liked or loved. I think it's torture to keep in touch with your ex, even if the relationship ended on good terms. But can a relationship REALLY end on good terms?

Do you believe that there's only ONE soulmate for each person?
How many times can a person fall in love?

Seeing Sugar?!
I just came back from the library because the books we borrowed were due today. I returned 4 out of 5 and re-checked out the book "Seeing Sugar" by Cynthia L. Brinson. Why?! Because my princess wanted to finish that book.
Here's a summary of what it's about:
Kate loves sweets and school, including her fourth-grade teacher, her desk at the front of the class, and the fact that she's always the first to answer Miss Burke's questions. Then Sugar Rose Simms arrives at Maplewood School, and Miss Burke asks Kate to move so that the new girl can have her seat. From that moment on, Kate is off anything sweet and she no longer wants to participate in the class discussions because she can't see the blackboard. The teacher tells her mom about her nearsightedness and they visit the optometrist. Now she blames Sugar for her glasses, as well. However, through them, Kate sees the leaves in her favorite tree, not just a haze of green, and the birds living in the branches. She is so excited that she takes photos of everything and shares them in school the next day. She takes a class picture and notices something else: Sugar is a shy, lonely girl-not the thief who stole her desk. The message is a little heavy-handed, but early chapter-book readers will relate to Kate's hurt feelings and frustration. Youngsters will be reassured that they are not alone in the unjust world of elementary school.
Then I borrowed 2 other books for her to read, if she wants or if she hasn't already. She loves reading. Well, I was bored and had all the time in the world so I browsed through almost all the aisles of books while I was there. I skimmed through books regarding paralegal studies, careers in law, careers in law enforcement, arts & crafts, cooking, drawing, fashion, etc. After walking around so much, I got tired. I was wearing my heels! Well, I didn't borrow any books for myself. Maybe next time. Oh! I also skimmed through a book about California Small Claims. Yeah, I would need to help someone with either small claims or something in the near future. No details though!
But with my experience in small claims while working and also personally filing it myself, I think I know what to do and which forms to file where. Yup! I'm 99% confident that I know.
Well, I get to see my little princess tomorrow! I'm still thinking about whether or not I should go to the Festival of Books at UCLA this weekend. Preferably Saturday. I don't want to stress about transportation or parking. Then there's all that walking around and I also don't have money to spare. We'll probably end up baking another cake this weekend. I'll also remind her to make that "thank you" card to her aunt TamTam. I'm starving now! Ta-Ta For Now! TTFN!

Appearance
On 4/15/2010, I went for an interview at a cosmetic store for a position as a sales associate. I was surprised to hear that I can't wear glasses. I do understand why they would prefer their sales associates not to wear glasses but I can't understand why it's a requirement that I do NOT wear glasses. I also sort of understand why restaurants dislike for their waitresses or waiters to wear glasses, especially if it's a Korean BBQ place but I don't see why that's a requirement.
Well, I've checked online and I see that the cosmetic store is still hiring so I'm assuming that I didn't get the job. They are still posting an ad daily since the day I went to the interview. Oh well... I guess I don't need to rush to get contact lenses. Anyway, I can't afford to get contact lenses or new glasses. The last time I went to get my glasses was in March 2007 so I'm waaayyyy overdue for my eye exam. I feel like I'm going blind!

I Need A Break Away From Here
I wished I could've joined my sis on her trip to San Diego. I really need a break from all the drama and BS. When I'm working, I never have the time to go on a vacation. Not even a mini-vacation! But when I have the time, I don't have the money. Boohoo!

"Everyone can wear a hat -- you just have to find the right one," says Kim, 35. Her high-end Eugenia Kim hats average $200! So I'm happy to hear that they're available at Target. But when I checked online on Target.com, I saw that the designs weren't too pretty but I guess that's why it's so cheap.

This Is Me
Love this song. I know, it's a song from "The Barbie Diaries" DVD movie. But try listening to the lyrics. I can totally relate to it. Constantly falling forward.
Everyone has got a secret side
A winding path up to a door that's open wide
You think you know me but I'm changin' all the time
'Cause if I wanna be sweet
If I wanna be wild
If I wanna cry like a child
If I pick up the world in the palm of my hand
I guess that's just who I am
Chorus:
This is me
Can't ignore it
Reaching out
Breaking free
Constantly
Falling forward
Yeah, I'm just goin' for it
This is me
Sometimes life is a confusing thing
And when I talk it seems like no one's listening
Try to be an angel, but I just can't find my wings
'Cause I wanna be sweet
But I wanna be wild
If I wanna find my own style
So, I make a mistake, then I do it again
But I do it the best way that I can
*Chorus*
More than what you see
Finding out who I can be
*Chorus*
This is me...
Extinction...
This is extinction for you.
You're the kind of person,
You think you're better than everyone.
I don't want anything from you.
I don't want anything from you.
This is extinction for you.
Exactly what I want to say to you. But I can't... because no matter what, we're family. Again, I am not going to go into details on who I'm saying this to. But for some people, they know who I'm talking about. If you're the majority that doesn't know wth I'm talking about, I'm sorry but I can't fill you in. Too personal.
When asked by someone or some website or for some profile about the type of music I liked, I would write something like "Music is my life", "I love most types of music" or "almost everything but depends on my mood". Well, I now know that I need to change that. I didn't know there were so many types of music AND also so many types that I dislike or hate. I hate heavy metal that is just like loud noise. But I do love rock and alternative. But I don't like some alternative rock that sounds like they were made in the funky 80s. LOL! I do not like "The Soft Pack". I have listened to this song and another one called "Pull Out". 25 seconds into the song, I desparately wanted to turn it off. But I tried skipping forward, hoping it'll get better. I apologize to all the TSP fans but I do not like their songs.

Spring 2010 Nail Fashion
During NYC for Fashion Week Spring 2010, CVS & Robert Verdi lounge was full of the latest hot new products at CVS. One of them was Sally Hansen latest HD nail color collection. One of my new favorite is Sally Hansen HD Nail Polish in Opulent Cloud: a gorgeous silver, with golden and some purple undertones. This shade is very chic and modern and the icing on the cake. I call it: “The Nail Polish That Doesn’t Chip”. It’s currently available at CVS, so go check it out!!

Modern, vibrant nail shades inspired by blossoming runway designs. A fashionable collaboration between nail color expert Sally Hansen and designer Tracy Reese. For the eighth season in a row, Sally Hansen has joined forces with fashion icon Tracy Reese to create the ultimate accessory for the feminine yet modern spring wardrobe, inspired by Reese’s visionary spring collection.
INSPIRATION: This season, Tracy Reese’s runway represents a study in contrasts: Architectural designs meet relaxed silhouettes while hard lines and opaque colors are juxtaposed against soft shapes and sheer fabrics. Femininity enlivens ensembles with a focus on draping, ruching and modern embellishments. Intense color combinations, vivacious prints and multi-layered shapes inject Reese’s spring collection with lively appeal. The colors in the Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen collection reflect this emphasis on vivid hues, high contrast and layering. On the runway, Reese layered the molten metallic sheen of Hidden Treasure over a deep ebony base of Midnight in New York, complementing the mood, inspiration and vitality of the runway looks.
The 8 new shades in the limited-edition nail color collection are made with the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. This season’s shades include:
Hidden Treasure – clear with multidimensional glitter
Midnight in New York – rich black

And what woman doesn’t feel amazing with a fresh manicure and beautiful dress!”
